www.goldencasino.com – The Breeder’s Cup, one of horse racing’s richest races maybe 59 days away but leading bookmaker William Hill have been trying to court some early punting by pricing up the Breeder’s Cup Sprint.
Britain’s largest bookie has made Street Boss their 11-2 early favourite for the million-dollar prize. As with most sprints this race will be a wide-open affair with Bruce Headley’s charge heading ante-post betting after an impressive trio of wins in Grade company, the US version of Group racing.
Also in with a shot of the seven-figure winner’s prize is last year’s fourth placed runner Benny the Bull, who has been appropriately installed as the 13/2 next best.
The brilliantly named Lewis Michael headed a high-class field at Del Mar recently and looks to be hitting form at the right time. 10/1 could be excellent value for a horse that is a full brother to the 2006 Breeder’s Cup winner Dreaming of Anna.
Finally of note in Hills’ market is Bustin Stones at nines. The four-year-old, new to the racing scene, is two out for Grade victories including an impressive win in top class company last time out.
The firms racecourse representative Kate Miller said "The Breeders’ Cup Sprint is one of the most competitive and richest races of the meeting, and will always be fiercely contested.
"This year’s renewal looks like to be dominated by more lightly-raced types with Street Boss and Bustin Stones having raced just nine times, but already boasting an impressive six wins in Grade company between them."
